New Recycling Rules for Recycling Effective July 1, 2018

The Town of Greenwich Waste Disposal Division in conjunction with the Greenwich Recycling Advisory Board has developed a new Recycling Guide.

The new rules go into effect July 1, 2018 and were developed to reduce problems in processing and avoid contamination. Click here for the list of where and what can be recycled.

Effective July 1, 2018
All recyclable items should be empty, rinsed, clean and open. Keep recyclables loose – do not box, bag or bundle.

*Items are no longer acceptable recyclables under new guidelines. Plastic bags & film overwrap may be returned to grocery markets & other locations participating in the WRAP recycling program (https://www.plasticfilmrecycling.org).
**Items are no longer accepted in curbside recycling under new guidelines but can be brought to Holly Hill for recycling.
