Byram is a densely settled neighborhood in the town of Greenwich.  Extending from Connecticut’s westernmost boundary, Byram has Long Island Sound on one side and the Byram River on the other.  Just across the river is Port Chester, New York.

Byram has had several names through the years including East Port Chester.  For a time it was called Lyonville for a prominent local family, It was also called Meadville for similar reasons.
